Essaouira, the city of Mogador

Essaouira, the city of Mogador (the original name given by the Phoenicians), has a lot to offer its visitors. The Medina is surrounded by the old walls, here you will find many different merchants; food, Berber carpets, leather, local wood art, clothing, silver, herbal spices, and many more... be sure you visit the Sqala where you can still see the canons placed there by the Portuguese in the 15th century. The harbor is a treat to visit and witness all the blue fishing boats that come in with fresh fish.

Essaouira is the city located along the Atlantic Ocean, also known as THE WIND CITY because of the wind, which blows almost all year round. It is the place to be in Morocco to spend a relaxing kitesurfing holiday while enjoying the historical and rich cultural part of the city. You can stroll though the narrow streets of the Medina filled with the sound of Gnaoua singing, or you can enjoy the long stretched sandy beaches, and experience the water sport activities
